About the Wildlife Sanctuary
Situated at a height of 5,091 ft above the sea level B R Hills Wildlife Sanctuary is an ideal abode to the varied flora and fauna found in the sanctuary. The tall trees, whistling winds, sparkling streams along with the exciting wildlife; a perfect setting for an exciting adventure holiday.

The prestigious wildlife reserve is spread across an sprawling area of 540 sq. kms. The crests and troughs of the valley forms the stunning backdrop of the forest rich in diverse flora and fauna. The green backdrop of the valleys are thick vegetation of Deciduous forest and Sholas.

The B R Hills Wildlife Sanctuary forms the connector between Eastern and the Western Ghats. It is guarded as well as nurtured by river Cauvery in the South East and river Kollegal which takes an abrupt turn towards its Northern part and settles in its original course later. This reserve forest presents a perfect blend of Geographical wonders with the beautiful Biligiri Rangaswamy and Male Mahadeshwar ranges incidentally bridging the gap between the Western and the Eastern Ghats.
