The Kanwar Sancturay located in the Parbati Valley is the home of the Himalayan Tahr. Spotting this big Himalayan goat in the wilderness can be a treat for your eyes. The
deodar and fir canopy that keep away the view of the sky from you inside the sanctuary
makes trekking through the forest an amazing experience.

By Air :- the nearest airport is at Bhuntar, 10 km from Kullu.

By Rail :- Jogindernagar is the nearest railhead. It is 95 km from Kullu.

By Road :- the sanctuary like most places in Himachal is well connected by road. Shimla is 240 km from Kanwar.

Best Time to Visit Kanwar
The best time to visit Kanwar Sanctuary is between May and June.
