It consists of mangrove scrub, teak-bearing forest, southern moist and mixed humid forest in addition to western subtropical forest. The region boasts of good biodiversity as well as a variety of trees and plants like shisam, teak, kadamba, karanj, and some kinds of ziziphus, acacia, euphorbia, red silk cotton and some other sorts of flowers.
