Sri Venkateshwara National Park Andhra Pradesh

Sprawling across 353.62 square kilometers the Sri Venkateshwara National Park in Andhra Pradesh begets its name from Lord Sri Venkateshwara, the presiding deity at Tirupati Temple. The inhabitants of Sri Venkateshwara National Park quench their thirst from Talakona, Gundalakona and Gunjana Waterfalls. Rugged slopes, steep gorges and surging waterfalls characterize Tirumala Hills which surrounds this National Park. Another hill named Seshachalam also lies on the fringe of this National Park.

Tamba Jalari, Gymnosperm, Red Slanders, sandalwood, Tella Karakkaya are some species of plants found here. Numerous genus of animals available here includes tiger, panther, spotted deer, ibex, sloth bear, pig, bear, Bonnet monkey, mongoose, wild dogs, Sambar, black buck, bison, jackal, fox, civet cat, jungle cat, rare and scarce golden gecko, peacock, jungle fowl Indian giant squirrel, tree shrew, lizards etc and birds like partridges and quail.
