Tropical Dry deciduous forest with savannah grass flooring distinguishes the Sultanpur National Park in Haryana. Located on the Gurgaon-Faruknagar Road, this Wild Life Sanctuary can be visited from Haryana which is the adjacent Railhead as well as the nearest Air Route. 
Sprawling across an area of 359 acres, Sultanpur National Park being a home to a plethora of animals and plants, was declared as a Sanctuary in 1971, but in 1981, it gained the status of a National Park. Since the river at Sultanpur over floods during Monsoon, a large number of animals and plants are destroyed due to water accumulation in this zone.
An initiative was therefore taken by the Government to preserve the rare species of flora and fauna at Sultanpur National Park. The best time to travel to Sultanpur National Park is winter, when there would be an overhead sun shining brightly, with a cool ground encouraging tourists to move on without being lethargic.
Tropical and Dry deciduous trees are there in abundance at Sultanpur National Park, it is also a home to a large variety of animals. Sultanpur National Park is a veritable heaven for an Ornithologist who would love to admire the cranes, flamingoes, ruddy shelducks, pelicans, gadwalls, grey lags, mallards, shovellers, pochards, teals, plovers, spoonbills and red-wattled lapwings from atop the high watchtower.
Migratory birds fly from large distances and come here. One can see a variety of unique species of migratory birds at Sultanpur Wild Life Sanctuary. You would also love to enjoy the amiable presence of a large variety of wild life including the blackbuck, hog deer, hedgehog, striped hyena, honey badgers, Indian porcupine, leopards, nilgai, wild dog, sambar, caracal, four horned antelope and wild pigs.
