Sunderban National Park West Bengal

The road to Sunderbans National Park is not dusty; rather it is moist and saline because it is located in the World's largest Delta formed by the mighty Ganges and Brahmaputra. Renowned for its splendid Mangrove Forest, where one may discover the elegant Sundari trees, one of the Mangrove Variety.

Sunderbans has achieved its name from the Sundari Trees. It is the most exquisite variety of tree that are found in this area, a special kind of Mangrove tree. The main feature of this tree is that it produces spikes that grow above from the ground and help in the respiration of the tree. During the rainy season when the entire forest is water logged, the spikes rising from the ground has their peak in the air and helps in the respiration process.

In the southern part, there is virtually no habitation; only untamed and exclusive feral creatures dwell there. Sunderban is a store house of various animals, like Crocodile, Monkeys, Chital and Royal Bengal Tigers.

Indian tradition becomes more conspicuous Sunderbans National Park; you can discover the honey collectors, fishermen and the woodcutters, and once you may recall the Aesop Fables that you have read in your past. It is almost like a reminiscence of your past life.

They generally risk their lives for their sustenance and since they do not have an alternative option, life risk is something almost always associated with the male members of the native residents of Sunderban.

Fox, Jungle Cat, Indian Porpoise, Open Billed Stork and also the Wild Ibis are found here. Apart from these there are also the Common Kingfishers, Caspian Terns, Brahmini Kites, Oriental Hobby and Brown Fish Owl.

Since Sunderbans National Park is located in a humid locale, it is favorable for a visit from December to February, when the weather is chilly and the road is hospitable. So, pack up for a wild Jungle Tour; you will be tuned up for the rest of your lives once you give a visit to these Royal Animals in the Jungle.
